Dressed in clothing from the 1880’s time period, author will focus on the background and history of this unique group of Jewish Pioneers who attempted to start an agricultural colony on the rocky slopes below the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in south-central Colorado. Pioneer photographs and Jewish artifacts will be shared as a way to help explain how the real story of the colonists was turned into a work of historical fiction. Program fits nicely with either Colorado History or Immigration themes, and depending on time available and group size, can be tailored to include writing exercises and time for questions and answers.
Rates: Less than 50 mile radius - $150
Between 50 and 100 miles- $200
More than 100 miles - $250 plus mileage and lodging
More than 200 miles - negotiable depending on location
In addition, author would like to have the opportunity to sell or pre-sell books. Will work through local bookstore or can bring copies.
